Clock House + Field Day collab “Ridin’ Shotgun” releasing this Friday! 3/24!

Clock House Brewing and new kid on the block to the Iowa brewery scene, Field Day Brewing, will be releasing a collaboration this Friday called Ridin’ Shotgun! A triple dry hopped NEIPA! Here’s more on this beer from courtesy of Clock House and Field Day:

A few weeks ago we got the chance to hangout and brew with our friends from Field Day Brewing Co. in North Liberty! This Friday, March 24th you’ll be able to get your hands on it!

Ridin’ Shotgun is a NEIPA that was triple dry-hopped with Talus, Loral, and Mosaic. Niagara grapes were added in fermentation to achieve dry white wine notes. Expect this one to be very tropical and floral heavy.

Available on draft, growlers, and 16oz 4-packs!

Jolly Pumpkin getting re-launched in Iowa via Abu Nawas!

The first brewery that Abu Nawas brought to Iowa will be making their way back to our lovely state starting next week and will also be bringing cans with them! Here’s more courtesy of Abu Nawas!

JOLLY PUMPKIN CANS:

  • Jolly Pumpkin Bam Biere 6/4/16oz CANS – Farmhouse Ale. This delicious, low-calorie, farmhouse ale is named for Ron’s Jack Russell who was struck by a car but bounced back in fine tenacious Jack Russell fashion. This farmhouse ale is brewed for those of us who have been knocked down, have picked up, dusted off, and carried on undaunted. Golden, naturally cloudy, can-conditioned, and dry-hopped for a perfectly refreshing balance of spicy malts, hops, & yeast. TIME IN OAK: 2 Months. 4.5% ABV – 24 IBU – MI
  • Jolly Pumpkin Calabaza Blanca 6/4/16oz CANS – Farmhouse Witbier. Blanca is a low-calorie farmhouse witbier brewed in Belgium’s beer blanche tradition. Spiced with orange peel & coriander, you’ll find it refreshingly tart, with a wonderfully dry finish. A year round favorite for sure. TIME IN OAK: 2 Months. 4.8% ABV – 15 IBU – MI
  • Jolly Pumpkin Oro de Calabaza 6/4/16oz CANS – Wild Artisan Golden Ale. Oro is brewed in the Franco-Belgian tradition of strong golden ales. Spicy and peppery with a gentle hop bouquet and the beguiling influence of wild yeast. Named one of the top 25 beers in America by Men’s Journal. Great American Beer Festival Gold medal winner for the Belgian & French Ale category. TIME IN OAK: 6-9 Months. 8.0% ABV – 30 IBU – MI
  • Jolly Pumpkin iO Saison 6/4/16oz CANS – Wild Saison. Aged in oak with wild yeasts & can conditioned, iO Saison is a unique creation brewed with rose hips, rose petals, & hibiscus giving this saison a character & color all its own. This very vibrant, bright, rose-colored saison has floral & spice notes mixed with hints of tartness from foeder aging & the hibiscus flowers. A beautiful piece of art presented in a glass. Cheers and mahalo plenty! TIME IN OAK: 3 Months. 6.4% ABV – 15 IBU – MI

Lion Bridge releasing “The Full English” Baltic Porter on 12/14!

A baltic porter just in time for the holidays coming at you from Lion Bridge Brewing as they prepare to release “The Full English” on December 14th! Here’s more on this release courtesy of Lion Bridge Facebook page:

The Full English (Baltic Porter, 8.5%) – A strong, dark lager that gained fame when introduced to London’s working class. Akin to an imperial stout; an extended lagering period smooths out this big beer, and the results are beautiful.

Drekker brews coming from Pequod!

Braaaaaaains Zombie
We loaded this Braaaaaaaains up with Lemon, Lime, Cherry, Pineapple, & Passionfruit and then hit it with our double secret smoothie treatment of sea salt, lactose, and vanilla. It’s got us thinking that this must be what Braaaaaaaains taste like to a zombie. Because it’s dang delicious and it’s got us wanting more and more and now all we think about is Braaaaaaaains. So you know, zombies, we get it

Slang du Jour – Strawberry Shortcake
This Sour à la Mode is loaded up with the dynamite combination of Strawberry and Rhubarb plus granola, brown sugar, cinnamon, lactose, and vanilla beans for that slangy, cobblery, right out of Grandma’s oven flavor.

Magic of a Different Color Double IPA
Magic of a Different Color is a Phantasmically delicious DIPA brewed with a bunch of oats for a super soft body and then hopped with Centiennial, Citra, Galaxy, Nelson Sauvin, and Phantasm for some super fruity & juicy notes, and then we fermented it with Helio Gazer yeast to bring out even more notes of viognier grapes, lychee, peach, pear, and tropical fruit!
Oh lawd… We took this sundae sour and baked it up with a mountain of confetti cake, filled it with strawberry and raspberry jelly then covered it in frosting and plopped a candle on top. It’s our party and we’ll Chonk if we want to!

Garbage People Double IPA
Don’t know about you guys, but we were always a little more Garbage Pail Kids than Cabbage Patch Kids. We grew up (technically, but not really) and we aren’t kids anymore so we’re just Garbage People. This new Double IPA is hopped with Mosaic, Galaxy, Citra, and Vic Secret with some serious dank, orange zest, bubble gum, & apricot flavor and aroma.⠀

So crack one of these and decide which Garbage Pail Kid you feel like? Oozy Suzy? Maybe a little more like Jay Decay? Let us know, we’ve got a feeling you’re Garbage People too.⠀
