Day #2 is finally here! Daydreaming of a delicious Iowa beer danced in my head all day and to be perfectly honest, it’s difficult not to tear into more than one of these adult beverage presents every night! So what did Drinky Claus bring for me to drink on day #2?:

DAY #2 BEER #2 – Clock House Brewing “Dinner Talk” – this might be the perfect holiday sour. Dinner Talk is a kettle sour with blueberry, cranberry, and plum with the addition of vanilla, cinnamon and maple syrup. The balance in the adjuncts is perfect as the cinnamon shines with the fruit and the maple syrup balances the sourness and sweetness wonderfully. This beer comes in at 5.8% ABV and would be the perfect pairing to almost any holiday dessert, and if your favorite holiday dessert is another beer, well this would be ideal to have one or two more!

Clock House releasing “Southern Cousins” sour on Thursday, October 8th!

Clock House brewing with another tasty sounding release coming at us a week from today! On Thursday, October 8th they will be releasing “Southern Cousins” fruited kettle sour with apricots and peaches. This release will be a draft only, so make sure to stop in and try a pour!

Clock House Brewing releasing Blueberry + Mango “Bubbler” Milkshake IPAs on 9/24!

Another week and another release of some delicious sounding beers from our amazing Iowa breweries. This time around, it will be Clock House Brewing in CR releasing two new milkshake IPAs on September 24th! Blueberry Bubbler and Mango Bubbler will have a presale release this Sunday! Here’s more on these two:

Blueberry Bubbler is a Milkshake IPA with milk sugar and vanilla beans. Dry hopped with Mosaic, Simcoe, and Azacca. Rested on real blueberries to finish. The Mango Bubbler is a Milkshake IPA with milk sugar and vanilla beans. Dry hopped with Mosaic, Simcoe, and Azacca. Rested on real Mango pieces to finish. The preorder form for cans of the Milkshake IPA’s will be posted on Sunday at Noon.

Clock House Brewing releasing “Togs and Stubbies” New Zealand IPA this Thursday!

Cans and draft available of Clock House Brewing’s latest IPA release, “Tops and Stubbies” this Thursday at 3:00 p.m.! You can preorder at the link below! Here’s more on this New Zealand IPA!

Togs & Stubbies is a New Zealand style IPA brewed with Wakatu and Wai-iti hops. This beer has aromas of white wine grape and orange blossom with notes of lime, lemon floral, and lychee. New Zealand IPA’s by style are easy drinking and reminiscence of American pale ales. Grab your swim trunks and bottles of beer from the chilly bin, let’s have a bloody great night.

Clock House Brewing releasing “Holland Oats” Imperial IPA on 8/27(Thursday!)!

Tasting sounding brew coming from the folks at Clock House this Thursday as they are set to release an Imperial IPA that is both west and east coast inspired! Holland Oats IPA will be released at 3:00 p.m. and will be available in cans!

An Imperial IPA inspired by West Coast bitterness and East Coast haze. Brewed with Galaxy, Vic’s Secret, and Citra hops. This beer has intense floral and melon notes with a nice clean bitter finish.

After the success of their first Sour Patch Man release, Clock House Brewing in the Cedar Rapids will be releasing their second version of this beer on August 7th! This will be a tap only event, so get their early if you want a taste! The doors open at 3 p.m! Here’s more on this release:

An already busy week for beer releases in Iowa is getting even busier as Clock House Brewing out of Cedar Rapids has announced they will be releasing a sour IPA title “Summertime SIPA” this Friday at 3:00! Here’s more on this brew!

This Friday at 3 PM, we will be releasing Summertime SIPA! A Sour IPA that showcases the fruity character pulled from hops. Flavors of apricot, mandarin orange, lemon, and lime. Tart with a clean and crisp finish. We’ll let you choose whether or not to sip or chug this refreshing summertime fruit bomb!🍋🍊💣

Hooray beer! More tasty brews available to us this week! This time from Clock House Brewing Company! They will be releasing a few very small batch beers and include them in a 4 pack variety pack! Here are the deets on this 4 pack courtesy of Clock House’s Facebook page!

We are excited to announce we have 3 new beers coming your way on Thursday, June 4th. These delicious brews were all part of our small batch experimental trial, so supplies are very limited. We will be offering 4-can (16 oz) variety packs to go which includes the following:

1 can of Snoozberry Smoothie– We took our over fruited Snozzberry Sour and added even more fruit to it. This may be the healthiest beer ever made.
1 can of Sour Patch Man– Our kettle sour infused with loads of Sour Patch Kids. Our spin on what adult candy would look like.
2 cans of Pineapple Coconut Witch Slap– Our flagship NEIPA infused with several pounds of coconut and pineapple. If you like beer-adas and getting caught in the rain, this may be for you.

The Deets:
-One 4-pack per customer. These were nano-brews, so supplies are limited.
-No substitutions. These beers will not be available for individual purchase.
-A limited amount of Pineapple Coconut Witch Slap and Sour Patch Man will be available on draft in our taproom. Snoozberry Smoothie will unfortunately not be on tap.
-The variety packs will only be available to purchase online.
-Pickups can be made in our taproom or at the curb.

Iowa Beer Sneak Peek! Clock House Low Bandito!

Before I get into the details of this brew from Clock House I just want to share the release info for it which is coming this Wednesday!

*For the first time Clock House will be offering their delicious imperial stout in 16 oz cans starting this Wednesday, May 6th starting at 3:00 p.m. Low Bandito is an imperial stout aged with habanero peppers, limes, cacao nibs, vanilla beans and cinnamon. This is what you think a Mexican hot chocolate would taste like. This bad boy checks in at 11% ABV. Pick yours up at Clock House curbside starting this Wednesday!

Alright, there are the deets for the release. Onto the tasty brew itself. Was very grateful to Clock House staff for hooking me up with one first of all, so thank you to them! I’ve been spending a lot of my time driving over and picking up Pineapple Witch Slap on what seems to be a daily basis but this Wednesday I’ll be driving over for Low Bandito.

POUR
Dark viscous pour, aroma of cinnamon and cocoa take center stage with vanilla on the back. Nice looking tan head on this thing this dissipates.

TASTE
Cinnamon, chocolate, and vanilla right away and then a small shot of heat from the habanero, the lime is very subtle, but you can definitely get some faint citrus from it.

OVERALL
I can’t wait to get more of this. A few to sip on when the spring evening gets a tad cool and the sun goes down and maybe a few to store to see what the flavors do. Clock House has been upping their game constantly; IPAs, Sours, stouts, etc…they’ve been pushing it and they’ve been delivering! Get there this Wednesday folks and if you get some I’d love to hear your thoughts! Cheers!
