Thew Brewing will be celebrating their 4th anniversary on March 12th and have a lineup of events/beers/food to celebrate with! Here’s what’s going down on March 12th:

Noon: Bottle release of Chip’s Date (imperial stout with mint and chocolate)

Hacienda Las Glorias & La Cantina food truck will be on site 12-5 PM

3:30-6:00 PM: Pop-up drag show with Lexi Belle & Friends and CR Pride (family friendly!)

7:30 PM Doors for comedy show – Zach Martina featuring Leslie Mitchell and Mitch Banks, hosted by Travis Bails. Tickets available at shop.thewbrew.com

Special Brrr Fest tapping! Thew Brewing tapping “Thew Crew” imperial stout w/chocolate, cherry, vanilla!

Brrr Fest brings out some amazing beers and sometimes only the lucky festival goers are the ones who get a taste. Thew Brewing out of Cedar Rapids will be tapping a speciality beer that they brewed over Christmas specifically for their Thew Crew members, but will now be made available to Brrr Fest attendees!

Thew Brewing will be doing a special tapping at BrrrFest at 3 PM! They made a stout at Christmas for their Thew Crew members and will be sharing it with lucky BrrrFest goers. This imperial stout has chocolate, cherry, and vanilla rested on oak spirals.

The Linn County Fair Homebrew Competition 1st place winner in the light beer category “Schwarb’s Beer Schwartz Beer” German dark lager will be tapping at Thew Brewing today @ 4 p.m! Get down there and check out a local homebrewer’s gold medal winner! Here’s more on this beer from Thew:

Tapping today at 4 PM! This German dark lager was the first place winner in the light beers category for the Linn County Fair homebrew competition and we brought in that brewer to help us brew it on our system.

Thew Brewing announces “Sour Saturday” set for April 17th!

Sour beer lovers rejoice as Thew Brewing will be filling their tap lines with their “Askew” sour series on April 17th starting at noon! Calling all sour fans! We’re bringing back the original seven from the Askew sour series and adding five more for a full takeover of our own taps! Vote for your favorite and you may see it in a bigger run and in crowlers.Supply will be limited. On tap only, no crowlers, no flights.

Thew Brewing will be celebrating their 3 year anniversary with a weekend full of new beers available for purchase or to enjoy in the taproom and much more! Here’s what they have going:

Thew Brewing is gearing up to celebrate our third anniversary!
We have several days of fun planned. 
*Friday, March 12th – March Comedy Madness 7 & 9:30 PM – Tickets at shop.thewbrew.com/events 
*Saturday, March 13th – Thew Anniversary Party & Bottle Release 12-10 PMNoon: Bottle release of Double Tappa (BA imperial brown) and its coconut chocolate variant, $20/each We’ll have a fun tap lineup, including Double Tappa and the coconut chocolate variant. The Hacienda Las Glorias/La Cantina taco truck will be on site from 5-9 PM. 
*Tuesday, March 16th – Thew Anniversary 2-8 PM $4 tulips of Thew Askew #3 (with grape juice for a sparkling wine-like sour) 
*Wednesday, March 17th – St. Patrick’s Day 12-8 PM Thew Askew #6 release$3 pints of green Lager, Esq. 

Thew + Pulpit Rock collab “Together 4ever” Peach Milkshake IPA releases this Friday! (2/12)

Thew Brewing and Pulpit Rock Brewing are once again coming together for a collab release of “Together 4ever”! This release will take place this Friday, February 12, @4:00 p.m. Here are the details on this beer:

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Together 4ever is back! We brew this milkshake IPA with peach, vanilla, and lactose every year with our pals at Pulpit Rock. Come get this sweet treat! Available on tap and in crowlers.

Along with the collab release, Thew will have the following beers available:

We will have cans of Pulpit Rock beers to enjoy in our taproom or to go:
Island Life – pastry sour with strawberry, mango, and lemonade (contains lactose)
Blemon – pastry sour with blueberries, white cake, and lemon zest (contains lactose)
Show and Tell – blackberry kettle sour (contains lactose)
Never Again – pastry stout with peanuts, maraschino cherries, sugar cookies, and cocoa nibs (contains lactose & nuts)
Koffee and Biscotti – coffee porter with almond biscotti
Chuggernaut – hazy pale aleWe will also have cans of UNIFY, a hazy IPA brewed for the Iowa Brewers Guild, to enjoy in our taproom or to go!

Thew Brewing: “A Very Barrelly Weekend!” coming Jan. 29th!

Thew Brewing will be bringing some barrel aged brews to their taproom and at Johnson Avenue Hy-Vee for their “A Very Barrelly Weekend” event on January 29th! Here is what’s going down that weekend:

January 29th – releases of:
Max Walker: Timecop (BA Belgian Quad)
Thew’s Helpful Smile (BA Imperial Stout, brewed for Johnson Ave. Hy-Vee in Cedar Rapids)
Crosspark in the Rye (BA Sour Rye Saison) and Raspberry Crosspark in the Rye (BA Sour Rye Saison with Raspberry) both brewed for Crosspark Rd. Hy-Vee in Coralville.

**All four beers will be on tap; limited bottles of the Hy-Vee beers will be available in our taproom.Thew Crew members will have the opportunity to reserve bottles of the Max Walker – a handful of platinum and silver memberships are left. They also just tapped This Mostly Iowa Fabric which is a NE pale ale dry hopped with cashmere hops from Buck Creek!
