Rideway/Coniston Brewery – UK:

• Ridgeway Santa’s Butt Winter Porter 12/500ml BOT – This special porter is made for winter — rich and warming, the way they like it in the North Pole. It was inspired by this famous line from a well-loved children’s story book: “And Santa sat on his great butt, drinking a hearty brew.” 6% ABV – UK
• Ridgeway Bad Elf 12/500 ml BOT – Hoppy Holiday Ale. Olde England meets the New World in this strong, warming winter IPA. A generous amount of famous English malt is masterfully balanced with 45 ounces of fresh hops per barrel. 4.5% ABV – UK

• Ridgeway Insanely Bad Elf 24/330ml BOT – Imperial Red Ale. Claus took a thoughtful sip of a most warming red ale. “Perhaps sanity is overrated… Ho,ho,ho!” 11.2% ABV – UK
• Ridgeway Lump of Coal 12/500ml BOT – Bittersweet chocolate stout is the best you could hope for in these dark times. Actually, come to think of it, considering how bad you’ve been, this little coal-black gem is more than you deserve for Christmas this year. 7.5% ABV – UK
• Ridgeway Reindeer’s Revolt 12/500ml BOT – A golden-amber, hop-accented, English “winter warmer” brewed without spices. It’s lighter on the palate than the other Ridgeway holiday beers. 6% ABV – UK
• Ridgeway Bad King John 12/500ml – Incredible English dark ale. An unusual beer, it is neither a porter nor a stout, but a black ale. It is a proper English pale with the addition of heavily roasted grains. Only English hops are used, some of them later in the boil to leave behind essential oils and hop aroma. This beer tests the drinker’s senses – the eyes are saying it’s heavy, the mouth says it’s light, perhaps sometimes dangerously so…. 6% ABV – UK
• Ridgeway Imperial Russian Stout 12/330ml BOT – Brewed only once a year. Slow, extended ageing before bottling differentiates this style from simply being a strong stout or porter. It makes Ridgeway Imperial Russian Stout considerably more vinous and sharp than an export stout. There is just that little nod towards a Lambic beer, with very roasty and very bitter flavors. The bitterness mellows over time in the bottle so the style is not intended to be overtly hoppy. 10% ABV – UK
• Coniston Old Man Ale 12/500ml bottles – Old English Ales. A radically different beer… it has roast barley added to the pale and crystal malts. It has a deep burnished copper colour, a rich port wine aroma, a big chocolate and creamy malt palate and a dry, grainy, roasty finish balanced by hop bitterness and tart fruit. It is a remarkably complex beer that deepens and changes as you sip it. 4.8% ABV – UK

Brasserie de Blaugies – BELGIUM :

• Blaugies La Moneuse Speciale Noel 12/375ml BOT – Blaugies La Moneuse Speciale Noel 12/375ml BOT – A richer version of Cult Saison, La Moneuse for the Holidays. 8% ABV – BE
• Blaugies Darbyste 12/375ml BOT – Darbyste, a drier, more flavorful variant of the traditional Belgian wit or blanche, is a saison made with wheat and fermented with fig juice. It comes from an old family recipe and is named for John Darby, a temperance preacher whose parishioners were oddly moved by a “soft drink” they claimed was just fig juice. At 5.8 percent, it’s a great summer beer – spritzy but full of character. Brasserie de Blaugies is truly a family operation. Founded in 1988, the brewery began with a husband and wife who prided themselves on brewing in small batches by hand-in the garage of their 300-year-old farmhouse, no less. In keeping with traditional brewing methods, all their beers are unfiltered and refermented in the bottle. 5.8% ABV – BE

Brouwerij De Ranke – BELGIUM :

• De Ranke Pere Noel 24/330ml BOT – Père Noël is a Christmas ale, though very different from any other Christmas ales you might know. While most Christmas ales are rich & sweet, this one is amber-coloured, 7% vol. Alc. strong and tastes quite bitter. The complex taste is completed with the addition of liquorice. In the recipe we can also find pale malt, Munich malt, Caramel malt, Brewers Gold hops and Hallertau hops. 7% ABV – BE
• De Ranke Cuvee 6/750ml BOT – Cuvée De Ranke is a mixed fermentation, blended ale. A combination of barrel-aged beer and lambic. 70% Belgium sour ale with 30% lambic. 7% ABV – BE
• De Ranke Grapevine Trebbiano d’Abruzzo Lambic 6/750ml BOT – Once a year De Ranke releases the marvellous ‘Grapevine’ series. This year sees the ‘Trebbiano d’Abruzzo’ edition, with red grapes from this famous Italian wine growing region being the star of the show, resting in the barrel mixed fermented beer to make for a wonderfully complex Fruit Lambic. A wine-like beer that explores the boundaries between beer and wine. 6.5% ABV – BE

This beer is inspired by the tradition of steeping whole cherries on old brown beer in the nearby city of Oudenaarde, where many producers were making it in the first half of the 20th century. • De Ranke Mirakel 6/750ml – Delicious Gueuze. “The lambics used in this blend are one, two and three years old. two of them are real lambics made by traditional producers of the valley of the senne river. The third one is made in our own brewery and we’ve called it Spierelambic, after the tiny river that runs near the brewery. We love this style and decided to try to make it ourselves. that it seemed to work, was a miracle to us”. 5.5% ABV – BE

• Haandbryggeriet Norwegian Wood 24/440ml CANS – Once every farm in Norway was required by law to brew its own ale. All of that ale had a natural smoky taste and most of it was spiced with juniper. With Norwegian Wood we have recreated this traditional beer style brewing it the traditional way with juniper branches and berries picked by us in our local woods. 6.5% ABV – NO
• Haandbryggeriet Of Wood & Smoke 24/440ml CANS – Of Wood & Smoke is an aquavit barrel aged version of Norwegian Wood. For this version we added more smoked malt and fresh juniper. 8% ABV – NO

• Nogne O Imperial Stout 12/330ml BOT – We think the Russian tsar would have liked his stout this way. A dark, rich ale with a generous sweetness with roasted malt bitterness. 9% ABV – NO
