  • Ectogasm IPA – 7% Ectogasm is a juicy, hazy, and soft NE IPA brewed with Citra & Mosaic hops.
  • Jolly Prrrrters – 6.6% Jolly PRRRTers is a Blue Razz Slush Style Sour packed with Blueberry, Raspberry, Pineapple, Blue Raspberry Jolly Rancher® candies, and Blue Razz Slushy Mix. We could go on and on about how amazing and fruity it tastes, but these flavors blend perfectly together to taste exactly like a blue razz Jolly Rancher®, just in cool, refreshing, delicious liquid form.
  • Juiceler – 8% Who’s the Juicler, you ask? Well it’s a juicy story. Back in the Juice Wars of 2020 the Juiceler captained the S.S. Juice – the juiciest juice-running ship to ever sail the Juice Seas. But it was no match for the Great Juice Storm, as it came to be known, which stirred up all of the creatures from the juicy depths and filled them with a juicy rage. So they surrounded the S.S. Juice and squeezed it with all their juice-soaked monster powers taking it down to the juicy depth from which they came. And that’s the story of how the Juiceler got juiced.
  • Plop Painkiller – 6% Hard Seltzer This is the PLOP that got us dreaming of Plopping in the first place. Pain killers are one of our favorite cocktails in the whole wide world so our mad scientist brewers & adjunctologists set their flavor guns to tropical and blasted this thing with pineapple, tangerine, cream of coconut, banana, and a pinch of nutmeg for a flavor that’s right out of the tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki room! ⠀
  • Prrrt so good – 7% Fruited Sour You know you’re in for a good time when you see people walking around with cotton candy, and this one’s definitely a good time. PRRRT So Good is loaded it up with Strawberry & Blueberry and then hit it with cotton candy floss for that real melt in your mouth, sticky fingers at the fair cotton candy flavor.⠀Contains no lactose.

  • With All Your Power – 8% If you could take all the tasty IPAs and not share with your friends, would you do it? With All Your Power is brewed with a bunch of oats and hopped with Talus and HBC 586 so it’s just oozing with strawberry, pineapple, and grapefruit aroma and bursting with dark cherry, blueberry, mango, and grapefruit zest flavors.

  • Dankenstein’s Monster – 10%IPA An electrifying unfiltered DIPA packed to the brim with classic and dank hops. We pieced together this monster with Cascade, CTZ, Chinook, Centennial, and Simcoe giving you big citrus, big pine, and all the dankness you could ask for.
  • House on Hazy Hill – 8.6% Fruited IPA Only the ghosts in this house are glad we are here…..We teamed up with our family at Tactical Brewing for an epic collab. A big hazy DIPA that we’ve smashed full of Citra, Citra Cryo, Galaxy & YQH1320 to give it that hoppy deliciousness then to play off the fruit nuances of the hops we hit it with a dose of Guava!
  • !POP! Tropical – 5.5% Fruit Beer Collaboration with SEEK Beer Co (San Diego) Fruited Tart Ale with tropical notes from the addition of guava, passion fruit, strawberry. Light, crisp, fresh summer crusher!
  • Tragedy at the Sock Puppet Theater – Collaboration with our good friends at Paperback Brewing in Los Angeles. This new West Coast style IPA will feature nectaron hops giving this beer an intense mix of pineapple, citrus and stone fruit flavors and aromas.

  • Energetic Mind – 8% Double IPA brewed with vic secret and citra. Ripe pineapple, citrus, dank.
  • DDH Pixel Density – 6.5% We took Pixel Density’s core base beer and decided to hit it with a double dry hop of citra. Big flavors and aromas of passion fruit, lychee with some dankness to round it out, all wrapped up in a 6.5% pillowy soft, oat driven grain bill.
  • Blooming Sun – 6.2% West-coast style American IPA with Centennial, Chinook, & Simcoe hops.

The Veil

  • Hornswoogler Enchanted – 8% Milk Stout blended with Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout Conditioned with Toasted Coconut and Madagascar Vanilla Beans
  • New Mirage – 6% Hazy IPA heavy on flaked and malted oats, then hopped with a thoughtful blend of Nelson, Simcoe, Mosaic, and Citra in both normal and concentrated Cryo form. Theres some Phantasm in there too for good measure. Juicy notes of pineapple, wine grape and clementine
  • Alone3 – 6% TDH 100% Galaxy hopped Hazy IPA. Intensely tropical with flavors of apricot, citrus gummy and grape cotton candy.
  • Strangest Eternity – 8% Imperial version of Strange & Eternal. Brewed with Mosaic, Citra, Simcoe, and Motueka. Dank, unique and zesty with tropical fruit snack vibes
  • Vent3 – 6.5% TDH West Coast India Pale Ale brewed with El Dorado, Nelson, Amarillo and CTZ. Clean and relatively dry with an emphasis on the juicy El Dorado and incredible Nelson Sauvin supported by a bit of pine and resin oil.
  • The World is Not Real – 8% DIPA with Citra, Mosaic, Nelson, and Enigma. A well-blended flavor combo of musky canteloupe, wine grapes, and papaya.
  • Catboy’s New Friend – 6.5% Hazy IPA brewed mostly with the new-ish and exciting NZ hop varietal, Riwaka. Citra provides some flavor backbone, but Riwaka is the hop that really shines in this beer. Bursting out of the glass with exotic fruits and white grape.
  • Dirt Dirt Nap Nap 8.8% Our classic DDH DIPA featuring Galaxy, Citra, Mosaic, and Nelson Sauvin! Popping with juicy papaya and a Southern Hemisphere tropical muskiness that is perfectly balanced by the American Citra and Mosaic.

Our Stammtisch was brewed to celebrate this idea of community and socializing. It’s a traditional German Pilsner featuring a blend of Hallertau and Strisselspalt hops, giving it a pronounced herbal and spicy aroma. It’s crisp and dry with a light grainy malt profile. We think it’s the perfect accompaniment to any gathering. 5.4% ABV – MO
  • URBAN CHESTNUT SCHNICKELFRITZ  6/4/16oz CANS – Bavarian Weissbier. The unmistakable characteristics of this Bavarian Weissbier are achieved with a yeast that is decidedly fruity and phenolic. You may note clove, nutmeg or even vanilla and/or banana-like aromas and flavors. 5% ABV – MO
  • URBAN CHESTNUT DORFBIER 6/4/16oz CANS – Munich Dunkel. Some refer to the Dunkel style as the original bier of Munich and its surrounding villages (Dörfer). This everyday bier ranges in color and sweetness depending on the amount of Munich and roasted malts used. The sweetness of the malt is then balanced by the use of another Bavarian friend…the Hallertau hop…in this specific case, Hersbrucker, grown near Wolnzach, Hallertau. 5.2% ABV – MO

Pontoon Brewing – You Otter Try Some!

  • AquaTronic IPA – 8% Time to double down on this one! This juicy Double IPA showcases Azacca, El Dorado & Galaxy hops to give off balanced notes of tropical fruit and sweet citrus. The soft mouthfeel from this brew makes this juicy Double IPA dangerously approachable!
  • Otter Palmer Radler – 4.5% – Refreshing blend of beer, black tea, and lemonade, this cocktail inspired beer is a refreshing addition to the golf course, lawn mowing, or just sitting in a comfy chair in the A/C.
  • Plush Slush Fruited Berliner Weisse – 7% Our award-winning sour with copious amounts of peaches, apricots, and peach ring candy that pairs with the soft lactic sourness and microbe driven stone fruit from the lactobacillus sour culture. We referment it on additional peaches, apricots, candied peach rings and finish it with lactose to create a creamy but tart candied peach treat! Tart, peachy, and plush!
  • Rainbow Smiggles Fruited Sour – 7% Our award-winning Berliner Weisse, features 300 lbs of Skittles, over 100 boxes of Trix Cereal, 2 lbs per gallon of strawberries and pineapple, and vanilla.
  • The Reel Legend IPA – 7% This American IPA has an intense hop aroma and great malt balance. Hopped with the Centennial, Citra, and Idaho 7 hop varietal gives this beer grapefruit and pine resin aromas. A significant malt body balances this hop presence that leads this to a remarkable drinkable American-style India Pale Ale. Brewed by Taylor Ganio in honor of her father.

  • Late to the Party Oktoberfest – 6% More like Awk-toberfest, amirite? We actually quite enjoy drinking these types of beers into the fall, so we figured we’d release it in the first week of October… so like 2-4 months after most folks. We brewed this beer with Weyermann Malt & spunded for natural carbonation as an homage to the endlessly gulpable biers you’ll find at the tents in Munich during Oktoberfest festivities. Where is everyone going? We just got here.

  • Chocolate Milk Stout – 5.5% Pouring black as the night sky with a firm, tan head and featuring aromas of baker’s chocolate, roasted barley and chocolate malts, Chocolate Milk Stout has a rich, velvety mouthfeel, loads of chocolate flavor and a smooth creaminess provided by cacao nibs and milk sugar. This beer, perfect for the change in seasons, is a chocolate lover’s dream.
  • Absence of Light PB Choc Milk Stout – 7.1%The perfect mash-up of cacao nibs and peanut butter supported by caramel, chocolate and roasted malts, Absence of Light opens with huge aromas reminiscent of creamy peanut butter cups and transitions into a silky milk stout with rich chocolate and coffee notes tapering to a slightly sweet finish provided by an addition of milk sugar.
  • Pineapple Prussia Sour – 4% A new tropical spin on Prussia Berliner Weisse, this light-bodied, tart wheat beer was fermented on pineapple following brewhouse souring. Like Passion Fruit Prussia, this iteration is well-balanced and features delicate touches of pineapple that play nicely with the soft, lactic acidity to make this beer super drinkable and quenching.
  • Lemon Gose Sour – 4% A delicate balance of subtle tartness provided by brewhouse acidification and citrusy sweetness contributed by preserved lemons and lemon zest, Preserved Lemon Gose pours a slightly hazy golden hue and features bright, herbaceous aromas of lemon verbena and lemon basil. This lower alcohol, German-style wheat beer finishes crisp and dry with a whisper of lingering sourness that’s tempered by sea salt and tangy lemon flavors.

Your favorite beer festival returns this fall! Join us as we take over the streets of the Northside on Saturday, September 23rd. This year, Northside Oktoberfest celebrates 27 years and will include Iowa City BrewFest, your beloved sampling event, and bring back the Outdoor Bier Hall. Northside Oktoberfest is made possible thanks to the 2023 sponsors: Fly CID, ImOn Communications, John’s Grocery, Little Village, Pagliai’s Pizza, and Phelan Tucker Law LLP.

Iowa City BrewFest, sponsored by Fly CID, will remain exclusive with only 700 tickets available. Less than half of the tickets remain, so get yours now before it’s too late! Although the festival is open for anyone to walk through, only those with an official BrewFest glass will be able to sample beer and wine from vendors.

The Outdoor Bier Hall is the General Admission to Northside Oktoberfest. Attendees can purchase a Bier Hall mug that allows them to purchase beer and wine at Northside businesses. Only those with this mug will be able to enjoy beer and wine in the streets. Mugs are available for pre-sale now for only  $10 and will increase to $15 the day-of. The festival is open for anyone to enjoy live music and traditional Oktoberfest games and contests.
