You get the Rush River Barrel-Aged Über Alt of course. It begins with a high gravity, German-style Old Ale that is malt forward with a touch of sweet fruitiness from our house ale yeast. We feel this base beer is the perfect companion for an empty rye whiskey barrel. From there it takes on a hint of the spicy, peppery bite of rye, balancing the rich, malty sweetness. Mahogany in color with notes of maple and vanilla, this seasonal sipper is built for the holidays.ARISE – Russian Imperial Stout BA in Heaven Hills barrels for 18 months 1/6 bbl:Birth, death and rebirth – that is the cyclical nature of things. Like the Phoenix rising from the ashes, this barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stout is born from an 18-month rest in the blackened, charred interior of a bourbon barrel. The body of this mythical beast has roasted barley, black and chocolate malts at its core. The extensive barrel aging process then lends a warming bourbon nose and mouth feel and gives this bold beer a silky smooth finish. Enjoy this while you can because when it is gone it will not return until it rises again.
